Cacao porridge

Cacao porridge is sO good!!! If you like porridge and you like chocolate then you seriously need to try this! Cacao is quite bitter, so I sweeten it with banana and berries, but you could add some pure maple syrup or any other toppings you like really! I haven't tried it baked yet, but apparently it tastes like spongy chocolate cake so I need to try that soon too ;)

Anyway! Here's the recipe ~ you can change the measurements if you like x

50g oats
150ml almond milk (depends how thick or runny you want it)
50g raspberries
50g blueberries or blackberries
A banana
1-2 teaspoon/tablespoon cacao powder (depends how chocolatey you want it;))
(Next time I make this I'm going to add a heaped teaspoon of cinnamon so you could do that too, I think it would taste really nice! But try this recipe first and then add what you like!)

Put the oats and milk in a pan on the stove on a high heat and let it cook. You can add some of the berries in now, but leave some for on top. Then once it's started to bubble, turn the heat down a bit and add half the banana either chopped up in chunks or mashed. Stir well, then once it's almost finished add the cacao powder, and keep stirring so the porridge goes a chocolatey colour :) then once it's reached the desired thickness you like, pour in a bowl and top with the rest of the banana and the berries.

{ I left a little bit of cacao powder and added a tiny bit of boiling water to it in a cup, mixed and then poured it over the porridge :) so yum! Don't make it too runny though!}

You can honestly have any toppings with this and you can change the recipe to whatever you like! Soon I'm going to make chocolate orange porridge, cacao and caramel porridge and cacao raspberry baked oats topped with almond/cashew butter, so keep your eyes peeled:) hope you're all okay and please tell me if you like this recipe!

Speak soon, Rosanna x

Raw Chocolate Orange Brownies

Sorry I haven't posted a blog in so long!! I'm going to try and do about two or three a week now, and if any of you have any requests for any blogs please just say!

So a few days ago I decided to make some brownies for my dad. I've been wanting to make deliciouslyella raw brownies for a while now, so whilst my dad was doing some hovering, I decided to have a go and make them :) we tweaked the original recipe a little bit, and added in a satsuma and the juice to make them raw chocolate orange brownies. Apparently (according to my dad) they tasted absolutely amazing and he had three in one sitting! {that's another good thing about them, they taste so good and chocolatey yet they're completely healthy and you can have as many as you like knowing they are really good for you!!}

They are so easy to make, and literally only take about five minutes!!

Ingredients {makes about 10 brownies}
- 200g medjool dates
- 100g pecans
- 2-3 tablespoons raw cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup (optional and you can use any other sweetener)
- a satsuma (also optional)

Start by getting all the ingredients together and weigh them out.
Pit the dates and then throw all the pecans into the food processor and give it a quick blend until they form a crumbly mixture.

Then add in the dates and blend again for about ten seconds, before adding the cacao powder and maple syrup.

Mix again, and then add in the satsuma if you like. You might want to juice the satsuma first and then just add in the remaining bits. Give it a final
blend until you are satisfied, and then place the mixture into a baking tray. This can be a bit difficult because the brownies can be quite sticky and gooey, but just try to shape it into an even sort of square. Then pop them into the freezer for an hour (or the fridge for 3-4 hours). After that, cut them into evenly shaped squares and voila! :))
